Demi Lovato Says Rihanna Inspired Her New Album

Demi Lovato‘s third album will hopefully hit stores before the year is out. Right now she’s incredibly busy with her Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam touring duties, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have time to work on her new album. Thankfully, she also has time to talk about it!

She told an AHN reporter that, “It’s something I want to focus on and really pour myself into it. I don’t want to rush it out. I definitely feel like I’m proud of everything I put out there.” When asked who her influences were for the new album she didn’t hesitate to mention Rihanna and Keri Hilson; Demi says she tried to incorporate more soul and R & B sounds into her new songs.

But that’s not the only bit of new information she let slip. Demi says she’s trying to collaborate with singer Trey Songz. And hardcore Demi fans will be ecstatic to learn that she’ll be dancing onstage more during the upcoming tour. “I’m adding dancers to my own personal set, not just for Camp Rock,” Demi says. “It’s going to be a whole other element and I’m excited to see how it turns out. I’m just excited for my fans to see it.”
