Did Lady GaGa Steal Her Image From A Deceased Collaborator?

Lady GaGa has gotten lots of praise for her originality, which makes recent allegations that she stole her image from a dead friend all the more shocking!

The New York Post reported this week that the mother of an aspiring pop star has accused GaGa of stealing her daughter’s image and theatrical stage performance. Lisa Morgana worked with Lady GaGa back when she still went by her given name, Stefani Germanotta. Sadly, Morgana committed suicide in 2008 at age 19.

Before her death, Morgana and Lady GaGa worked on songs together. According to the Post, “It was during those sessions, Lina’s mother believes, that her daughter’s fashion sensibility, performance-art stagings and style caught Gaga’s attention.”

After someone posted a link to the story on GaGa’s Web site, the entire fan forum got shut down. So far, her spokespeople have been silent on the issue. Check out this video of Morgana performing and decide for yourself. There’s definitely similarities between the two performers’ style, but can you really take the idea of “weird” from someone? One thing’s for sure, Lady GaGa definitely stole her nose!
