Did Michael Jackson Kill Himself?

Do you remember where you were when you found out Michael Jackson died? Dr. Conrad Murray does, and unfortunately, the answer isn’t, “I was with my patient who I’ve been prescribing massive amounts of surgical anaesthetic. Hope nothing bad happens.†Now it seems that the doctor charged with the King of Pop’s death is going to try to pin the blame on MJ himself.

According to Deputy District Attorney David Walgren, it seems that Dr. Conrad Murray’s defense against charges of involuntary manslaughter is that Michael did it to himself. Not in an intentional, suicide-y way, but in a “I left the room for a bit and when I came back he had taken all these bonus drugs because he was so desperate for sleep†way.

The case is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 4th to determine whether or not there is even enough evidence to try Murray. The arm of the law is not only long, it’s also incredibly slow-moving. It’s been a year and a half, for Pete’s sake.
