It has earned a whopping $237 million domestically and $456 million worldwide, but “
Eclipse” got knocked out of the #1 spot at the box office this weekend by “Despicable Me.”
The “
Twilight Saga” flick landed in second place with a $33.4 million take, followed by “Predators” ($25.3 million), “Toy Story 3” ($22 million) and “The Last Airbender” ($17.2 million).
Meanwhile, “Despicable Me” raked in $60.1 million to score the top spot in box office sales thanks to Steve Carrell and Jason Segel.
Coming up this week, we’ll see Nicolas Cage star in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and
Leonardo DiCaprio’s new flick “Inception.”
