FAIL: Hollywood is Dead Dying Painful DeathThursday, December 2, 2010 11:15 AM
Would you really pay $10 to have Kim Kardashian go back to clogging up the Twitterverse with her inane updates and shameless product endorsements? It turns out nobody else will either, not even for charity. Hollywood’s “Digital Death†campaign has been a dismal failure. Organizers were hoping fans would pay money to bring their favorite celebrities back to Facebook and Twitter. The money goes to AIDS charities, but even so, only about 16 percent of the money needed to get the likes of Serena Williams and Elijah Wood back to social networking has been raised. Sorry Africa AIDS babies — everyone just realized how awesome Twitter is without Ryan Seacrest. We would also like to point out that despite volunteering for “digital death†and a self-imposed moratorium from social networking, Kim Kardashian has been blogging up a storm, presumably because if she keeps that endless stream of pointless drivel bottled up inside her head, then it will explode and she would die for real. How long until the celebs give up and donate the money themselves? |
