Lil’ Wayne: Off to the Big House

After several delays, Lil Wayne has finally turned himself to a Manhattan courthouse in New York City on Monday (March 8).

The rapper has formally received a one-year jail sentence after pleading guilty last fall to a July 2007 weapons crime.

Wayne’s sentencing was delayed once for dental surgery and then again due to a courthouse fire.

Word has it, the “Prom Queen†singer could get out after eight months for good behavior but if not, fans won’t be seeing him again until March 2011.
