Mariah Carey Spotted In Wheelchair. Is The Possibly Pregnant Diva Alright?

Singing sensation Mariah Carrey and her hubby Nick Cannon are keeping news of her rumored pregnancy very hush hush.

With numerous baby bump photos circling the web, it would appear to most viewers that the starlet is indeed preggers. However, the couple has been very quiet about confirming or denying these rumors. Mariah is known to be very superstitious. That may be why she doesn’t want to publicly announce that she’s expecting.

In August the singer posted a statement on her website saying, “I appreciate everyone’s well wishes, but I am very superstitious. When the time is right, everyone will know.†Her hubby Nick also refuses to comment, telling a NYC radio station, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it from her.â€

However, could there be reasons besides privacy that have kept the couple from sharing the good news?

Since Mariah is 41-years-old she may be nervous about the risks of delivering a baby at her age. When women reach a certain age, it becomes more difficult to conceive and there are greater risks involved with having a baby. Mariah might feel that since she is an older woman, she doesn’t want to jinx it or speak of it to soon with the public. Coping with a failed pregnancy would be hard enough without having to explain to the media why your baby bump disappeared. If she is pregnant, and it looks like she is, we wish her and her family the best of luck!

Mariah was just recently spotted leaving LAX in a wheelchair, which set off new pregnancy rumors. However, her rep said, “Mariah twisted her ankle in Singapore and should have packed more sensible shoes, but she doesn’t have any.†But after taking a spill in Singapore, Mariah finished the show on her feet; it sounds like her rep is just covering for her.

We’ll have to wait and see within the next few months if her baby bump grows bigger!!!
