Miley Cyrus has gained quite the fan base through her starring role as pop sensation Hannah on “Hannah Montana,” but she is determined to continue to grow as an actress. The star has recently been spotted
shooting scenes for her new movie “The Last Song,” set to release in 2010.
Earlier this week Miley announced she picked-up another movie role. The 16-year-old actress will be starring in the newly acquired Disney movie, “Wings.” She will play 15-year-old Laurel who moves from being home-schooled to a big high school. As if handling the schooling transition isn’t tough enough for Laurel, she learns she is a fairy when she grows a pair of wings.
The movie is based on the novel series written by Aprilynne Pike. Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, will be the executive producer on the project, while Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen and Wick Godfrey will produce the movie.
