Take that, freedom of speech, you got nothing on the sheer star power of the girl who did a few season of “The Simple Life.”
She can rest a bit easier now; a judge has granted
Nicole Richie’s request for a restraining order on two celebrity photographers.
Los Angeles Superior Court’s Judge Carol Boas Goodson granted her petition for a three year restraining order against the paparazzi after a hearing on Monday- keeping Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel at least 50 yards away from Nicole and family.
During the court session, Miguel apologized to Richie and boyfriend,
Joel Madden, and said he would not take pictures of her if she didn’t want him to.
The mother of two blames the men for a car accident that occurred last month, and although the actress’ two children were not in the car at the time of the crash, Richie says she is frightened for her children’s safety as well as her own.
Judege Goodson said she was concerned about holding back Arrivabene and Miguel's First Amendment rights to take pictures of Richie and Madden, but luckily both men agreed they could bear the restrictions of the restraining order.
