Selena Gomez was born July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Gomez got her start in Hollywood early on the popular children's show Barney & Friends before rising to greater fame in her teens on the hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place. She also released several albums with her band Selena Gomez & The Scene. While initially a "big sister" to emerging pop star Justin Bieber, the pair eventually became one of Hollywood's hottest young couples.
