Demi Lovato Checks Out Of Rehab, Ready To Get Back Into “Regular Routine”

Demi Lovato has checked out of a rehab program. Three months ago Demi sought treatment for undisclosed “emotional and physical issues” at a facility just outside of Chicago, and now she has returned to her home in Los Angeles.

Demi was spotted smiling as she grabbed a cup of coffee in Santa Monica today, a welcome sight for her many fans. Except for a brief visit with her family during the holiday season, this is the first time the troubled Disney star has been seen since checking into rehab.

“I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time,” Demi wrote on her Facebook page while in treatment. “Thank you for standing beside me through it all.”

Sources tell TMZ that Demi is ready to focus on her “regular routine” and spend time with her family and friends. No one knows when Demi will feel healthy enough to get back to work on her music or television show, Sonny With a Chance. That might be the meaning of “regular routine,” but it’s also possible she’s not ready to dive right back into work.

After an altercation with a backup dancer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers in South America, Demi dropped out of the tour. Her representatives then announced that she would enter a rehab facility.

We’re so glad to see Demi back home and even happier to see her smiling again.
