Elly Jackson’s Caribbean New Year

La Roux singer Elly Jackson is planning to spend New Year’s Eve (31.12.09) on holiday in the Caribbean.

The pop star plans to see in 2010 in the tropical paradise with her family after enjoying a hugely successful 2009.

Elly – whose mother is British actress Trudie Goodwin, who had a starring role in long-running UK police series ‘The Bill’ – said: “I’m going to be in the Caribbean over New Year with my family.

“I’m taking them on holiday as a treat for all the years they’ve taken me on holiday – girlfriends and boyfriends as well.

“We’re all going to go for a nice few relaxing weeks, and I’m going to try and slow down and reflect on the year that’s gone by, try and get my head around it.”

La Roux – which is comprised of Elly and her musical partner Ben Langmaid – have had a successful year, including a UK number one with track ‘Bulletproof’ and a number two with ‘In for the Kill’.

Their debut album ‘La Roux’, has been certified Gold and went to number two in the UK charts.
