Ted Williams, Golden-Voiced Hobo, Succumbs To Insta-Fame

If we’ve seen it once, we’ve seen it at least two other times — people made into celebrities thanks to YouTube, who just can’t handle the fame and totally freak out.

Much like Susan Boyle and her nervous breakdown, or the way that girl with the hiccups helped kill a guy earlier this year, Ted Williams, the homeless man with the golden voice, was detained by police at a Hollywood hotel Monday night for an altercation that reportedly involved his daughter. Although Williams was released, the investigation into the incident continues and presently it’s not clear whether or not any official arrests will be made.

As much as we all would like to think this story will have a happy ending, it’s probably more likely that Williams will do alright for a while then end up either back on the sauce, or, if he’s like Susan Boyle, roaming around a Scottish village in an expensive leather jacket with over-plucked eyebrows. Either way, a tragedy.
