Video: 3D Hologram Of Tupac Shakur Closes Coachella With Snoop DoggMonday, April 16, 2012 1:54 PM
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg closed the SoCal music festival Coachella Sunday night, but it’s the rapping 3D hologram of Tupac Shakur that stole the spotlight. Fifteen years after the rapper’s murder, Shakur was resurrected in holo form for a very unique performance.
The 3D Tupac rapped alongside a real Snoop Dogg for the song “2 of Americaz Most Wanted.” The rappers’ set also included Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa.
The hologram looked impressively real, though not totally life like. We’re willing to bet a few of the festival’s chemically-altered attendees had a major freak out when they saw the ghost of Tupac take the stage.
For better or worse, we doubt this will be the last dead celebrity to get the hologram treatment. A moonwalking Michael Jackson seems inevitable.
What do you think of the “performance”?
